MDP on FFNF (Finance for Non-Finance Professional) at BDMA

Dr Chetna Makwana, Faculty of Narmada College of Management  has conducted the MDP on “Finance for Non Finance Professionals” for BDMA (Bharuch District Management Association) on 19th November, 2022. The programme was organized by BDMA to train the non finance professional from various industries surrounded by Bharuch Viz. Dahej GIDC, Jagadia GIDC, Vilayat GIDC etc. Managers and Senior executives from various industries have participated in the MDP programme. Major participant industries  participated in training programme are Sajjan India Ltd., Colourtex Ltd., Adama India Pvt. Ltd., GFL, etc. There were 21 participants from various departments like Supply Chain, Production, HR, Product Planning etc. The Programme was designed to address the following areas of finance:

·         Need of FFNF and Understanding Corporate Financial Statements: Analysis & Interpretation of  Corporate Financial Statements including Ratio Analysis.

·         Introduction to Corporate finance including Time Value of Money, Analysis of  Investment Decision (Capital Budgeting) and Cost of Capital, Capital Structure and Leverage Analysis

·         Others areas that covered during the training were Working capital Management, Basics of  cost and Costing  and  Management Accounting including  CVP Analysis : Marginal Costing,  and  Variance Analysis 

 

Programme was appreciated by participant, because they are daily confronting the decision at various capacities in organization which involve financial implications. They also forwarded the gratitude to BDMA and Narmada College of Management(NCM) for providing this kind of learning opportunities in enhancing their excellence in decision making. The resource person for the MDP programme  was Dr. Chetna R Makwana, Faculty of Finance, of NCM.

Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date     :     13 Dec 2017     As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay. All the participants were welcomed by Pratish Koparkar, who warmly welcome with his delightful words and starting off the briefing about various safety measures that need to be taken care of. Students Participation in "All India Essay Writing Event 2016"

Our students Ms. Fatema Ibrahim Surti and Ms. Sashista A. Chauhan participated in  "All India Essay Writing Event 2016" organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission, United Nation Information Center for India and Bhutan, and The Heartfulness Institute.
