MoU: NCM inks its fourth MoU with VGTK – SEWA Rural
On 22nd July, 2021 Narmada College of Management (NCM) and Narmada College of Science and Commerce (NCSC), Bharuch signed its fourth memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Vivekananda Gramin Tekniki Kendra (VGTK) a vocational training Centre at Society for Education welfare and Action (SEWA) – Rural, Jhagadia.
VGTK – SEWA Rural was established in the year 1987 to provide opportunities to the rural youth. It imparts technical competence as well as man making and character building to youngsters in rural areas who are trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty, ignorance and lack of opportunity.
The MoU was signed by NCM Director Dr. Trupti Almoula, Dr. B M Rawal, Principal NCSC, and Shri Girish Shah, Director VGTK – SEWA Rural. The objective of this MoU is to help NCM and NCSC students understand the working of an NGO and facilitate immersion programs. It also aims at encouraging participation from both the institutions for curricular, co curricular and extracurricular activities. The agreement has come into force immediately.
Narmada College of Management [NCM] organized VIMARSH-2021 to discuss and evolve the Vision and the Mission for the future and also the strategies that we may work on to essentially emerge as a contributor for the whole world in the field of practical multidisciplinary teaching- learning with Management teaching-learning at the core of it. To help design the future path therefore, we had with us Prof. Dr. Navin Sheth , Vice Chancellor, GTU; former Prof., IIM-A Dr. Indira Parikh, President, “Antardisha” and Founder, Flame Institute, Pune; Prof. Dr. T V Rao, Chairman, T V Rao Learning Systems, Prof. IIM-A; Dr. M R Dixit, former Prof. IIM-A and an independent management researcher and facilitator; Dr D K Trivedi, Director Education, NCM; Dr B M Rawal ,Principal, Narmada College of Science and Commerce and former Pro VC, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University – all from the field of Education and Research. GTU is organizing an international event in the form of "Call for Book Chapters" in the form of Case Studies on Organizations’ contributions for Sustainable Development. This event will be conducted VIRTUALLY on 26th February 2022 where we expect participation from at least 10 to 12 countries with their industries and academic institutions and even government body putting forth their efforts in this direction in the form of case studies. To help all aspiring participants develop a good case study, all those who register on the link given herewith, shall be oriented to a half -day workshop on "How to write a good case". This workshop will be organized on 30th December 2021 after which you shall have at least 5-weeks to build / write your Case. For you to take advantage of this opportunity, you must essentially register on or before 25th December 2021 on the link mentioned below. You may develop the proposed case in collaboration with anybody else from academia/
Date: 27th December 2018 The guest lecture started at 2:00 PM at the conference hall of NCM. The Director DR.Trupti.Almoula began the session by giving an introductory speech and inviting the guest speakers.The guest speakers were Mr.Sushil.Kumar (Ex President at Reliance Industries Ltd) and Mr.A.K.Agrawal. In his speech he made students undersatand about the difference between Motivation and Inspiration.The main difference was that "Inspiration changes Thinking" while "Motivation changes Action".He fexplained how different sources of motivation affect an individual and organization. He also mentioned about the Demotivating factors and how to overcome them and the main motivators like Belief,Throw a Challenge,etc can motivate the individual.Lastly,he mentioned what should be the action plan to motivate the people.
