Under the marketing skills council in Semester IV, we had a guest lecture and experience sharing by Shri Shailendra Chauhan, representing Think Ink Solutions, Vadodara. He is a mechanical engineer with an MBA from Sardar Patel University with a rich corporate experience of 10 years in companies like Carrier Aircon, Voltas Ltd, Idea Cellular and Reliance Infocomm. At present he has his own business of Cartridge refilling, repairing and refurbishing at Vadodara.

He shared his rich experience of corporate life with our students, sharing his important achievements and lessons learnt during his tenure at various companies. He was honest enough to admit and share his mistakes during his early career and how he could overcome the problems because of those mistakes.

He also shared with the students his decision of starting his own business, the problems faced during the process and important mistakes to be avoided during the starting of a new business.

He discussed the various technicalities involved in taking up a franchisee, how to do due diligence before entering into the contract with the franchisor and how to get out of the venture if things do not work. He shared his insights about the business and encouraged the students to think twice before taking a decision based on their emotions and immediate feelings.

A REPORT on Two day visit of MBA-I students at Adani Port, Mundra Date of Visit: 29 th -30 th September, 2019 68 students of MBA-I, along with 4 faculty members visited Adani Port at Mundra on 29 th and 30 th September, 2019, as part of Industrial visit organized by the College. Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date : 13 Dec 2017 As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay. All the participants were welcomed by Pratish Koparkar, who warmly welcome with his delightful words and starting off the briefing about various safety measures that need to be taken care of. Our students Ms. Fatema Ibrahim Surti and Ms. Sashista A. Chauhan participated in "All India Essay Writing Event 2016" organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission, United Nation Information Center for India and Bhutan, and The Heartfulness Institute.
