ORIENTATION PROGRAMME (2018)

Date: 13th and 14th August, 2018 Venue: Narmada College of Management Day 1: The orientation programme was organized for first year students to introduce them to Narmada College Of Management  to build a network of resources that will help students to know in better manner and guide them to the right path. This is a formal welcome to the students  to Narmada College Of Management to know the, culture of the college, campus  and university. The programme at NCM provides information  about infrastructure ,library and books, teaching and tutors other campus resources. STUDENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE – REPORT ON GUEST LECTURE BY TEAM FROM AARTI INDUSTRIES

Date of the Lecture: 17/08/2018, Thursday Time: 10 :00 to 14 :00 hrs, Conference Hall, Narmada College of Management A one day workshop was organized by the College as part of its students development initiative on Thursday, 17 th August. A    team of senior level professionals from Aarti Industries namely Mr. Himanshu Bhavsar, Mr. Venkat Prasad, and Mr. Ratish Nair actively engaged the students for four hours which comprised of deep introspection, self evaluation and self realization of the development needed by them. Mr. Himanshu began with the session with a 10 minute meditation session which refreshed the students and made them ready for the marathon session ahead by Mr. Ratish Nair and Mr. Venkat Prasad. They made the students evaluate their level of English language communication both reading and writing and speaking and the strategy for improving them. STUDENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE – REPORT ON GUEST LECTURE BY TEAM FROM THINK AHEAD.IN

Date of the Lecture: 16/08/2018, Thursday Time: 14 :00 to 17 :00 hrs, Conference Hall, Narmada College of Management As part of the student development initiative, a discussion cum interaction session was arranged for the students of first year. A team from Thinkahead.in, an initiative of retired senior level industry professionals  comprising of Mr. G Satyanarayana, Mr. Premnath,  Mr. Vasu Rao and Shri Manoj Lathia, an entrepreneur from Ankleshwar, visited Narmada College of Management and Interacted with our students. They stressed the importance of developing a complete personality of the student rather than just focusing on the domain knowledge expertise. As per the latest research quoted by them, domain knowledge forms only 20 % of the overall importance given for success in any industry. SHAPING YOUNG MINDS – BHARUCH DISTRICT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION REPORT ON PARTICIPATION BY STUDENTS OF NARMADA COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT DATE/TIME OF THE EVENT: 18/08/2018, SATURDAY,  9;00 AM TO 4;30 PM Bharuch District Management Association (BDMA) organized the much coveted programme of All India Management Association (AIMA) Shaping young minds at Bharuch on 18 th August, Saturday, 2018. The four personalities who shared their life learning and lessons with the students were : 1) Dr. Shikha Sharma, Entrepreneur and Business Women 2) Ambassador Gurjeet Singh, 3) Shri Raghunath Medge, of Mumbai Dabbawalas and 4)Shri Neelam Valecha, Site head, Reliance Industries Limited, Dahej. FDP Report Guest Speaker: Dr. ShyamSachinwala Subject Name: Business Statistics Number of Participants: 06 Date: 18-08/2018 Session was started with basic Do’s during lectures of Business statistics. Dr. ShyamSachinwala discussed about various paid and open source software which is most important for business statistics. Sir emphasis on practical learning with theoretical concepts. During the session, sir also teach how to do statistical analysis in Excel. Many analysis covered during the session (e.g. ANOVA, Descriptive statistics, Etc). Report on Annual function held on 10th Feb., 2018

Campus level event Annual Day was organized on 10 th Feb., 2018.   In the first half, Event started with annual report reading by students’ representatives from NCM, NCSC and NCCA followed by Prize distribution ceremony. Students with high merits in academics were awarded. In the second half, Students from all the colleges presented their talent through different dance forms, dramas, and singing. NCM also presented three performances appreciated by all audience. The theme on which dance was performed by us were Horror, Retro and Bhangra fusion. The event started at 6:00 PM and ended 9:00 PM

Report on Campus Navratri held on 11th Oct., 2017

NCM wholeheartedly participated in the Campus Navratri event which was organized on 11 th Oct., 2017 at Narmada college campus. Ms. RashmiGhamawala was coordinator from NCM College. Students were mesmerized with the rhythm of Garba and Raas. First three best players were awarded with trophy and prizes. Evaluation criteria considered were Costumes, Non-stop play, Garba pattern and Presentation style etc… Ms. Vaisvi Mehta from MBA secured second position in this event. Students enjoyed the event very much 

Report on NHRD Meet attended on 22nd Nov, 2017

70 th Uninterrupted NHRD meet was organized by National HRD Network, South Gujarat Chamber at Hotel Shalimar, Ankleshwar where NCM HR Faculties - DR. Trupti S. Different Industry experts gave presentation on this new concept and also they illustrated their practices in this area. There were many take away and new learning from this session. The seminar started at 6:00 PM and ended at 9:00P.M.
