Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date     :     13 Dec 2017     As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay. All the participants were welcomed by Pratish Koparkar, who warmly welcome with his delightful words and starting off the briefing about various safety measures that need to be taken care of. Guest Lecture on GST

On 11th of October, the session was held in MCA conference hall regarding GST by K.K Kamal. He is Chartered Accountant by profession. Previously, there were different tax rates in different states before GST came into existence. But with the birth of GST all the other/ unwanted taxes got removed.GST killed all the boundaries. Almost 22 countries removed boundaries. With the effect of GST, all the custom duties that were paid got removed. Previously there were total 400 types of taxes that are now converted into one tax rate that is GST. GST 1. Intra ·          Central ·          State       2. Inter Average 23% taxes were implied previously. Now, the tax rate system has got more transparent. In GST system, when the return is filed on time than the compliance goes up but when the return is filed late than the compliance goes down. In GST, the matching concept is followed where all transactions are matched and the report is prepared thereafter. T

PROJECT WORK AS PART OF MARKETING SKILLS COUNCIL

A REPORT ON PROJECT WORK AS PART OF MARKETING SKILLS COUNCIL AT MCDONALDS OUTLET IN BHARUCH,  BY STUDENTS OF NARMADA COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT DATE: 12/10/2017, THURSDAY As part of its market outreach activity the students of the Marketing class are working with McDonalds India, for a market survey project at their Bharuch outlet. The project which began today will be carried out during the duration from 12 th to 15 th October at the McDonalds outlet.  The students will be also working with the organization for understanding the needs and preferences of its customer for the Takeaway as well as the restaurant customers. The students were guided by the Project Manager from McDonalds Mr. Saurabh. Five students namely Suresh Pareek, Bhumika Patil, Tejas Makwana, Pooja Sonar and Parmeet Kaur are working on this project from the Marketing class.

He shared his live experience  about his journey as a Distributor of Usha Fans in the last twelve years. He discussed the entire supply chain of the company starting with components for assembly, assembly at the company, dispatch to company depot at Aslali and then how the product comes to his godown.
