STUDENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE – REPORT ON GUEST LECTURE BY TEAM FROM AARTI INDUSTRIES

Time: 10 :00 to 14 :00 hrs, Conference Hall, Narmada College of Management

A one day workshop was organized by the College as part of its students development initiative on Thursday, 17^th August. A team of senior level professionals from Aarti Industries namely Mr. Himanshu Bhavsar, Mr. Venkat Prasad, and Mr. Ratish Nair actively engaged the students for four hours which comprised of deep introspection, self evaluation and self realization of the development needed by them.

Mr. Himanshu began with the session with a 10 minute meditation session which refreshed the students and made them ready for the marathon session ahead by Mr. Ratish Nair and Mr. Venkat Prasad.

They made the students evaluate their level of English language communication both reading and writing and speaking and the strategy for improving them.

They also talked by VUCA – Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity and how to be ready to face the VUCA world.

The session ended by an introduction to their three month course for student development.

Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date : 13 Dec 2017 As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay.
