Date: 30 September, 2019
Place: BDMA conference hall

Sub: Role of HR/IR in transfer of undertaking
(Divestment, Split, Acquisition)

The business forum has started at 7 pm. The speaker of that business forum was Mr. Vipul Rana. A transfer of undertakings occurs when a business, or a part of business is taken over by another employer as a result of a merger, acquisition and transfer of a part or all of the business. First of all the draft is very important for all of this. Both the parties that is buyer and seller have to give commitment.  The product is same. The acquisition took place between Agro info and Ags India. They were sell their two plants. The conditions of employment and contracts of employment of individual employees involved in a transfer are protected. Every employee have all the rights regarding the monitory and non monitory terms. Employees of a business being transferred move to the new employer with their accrued years of services, existing terms and conditions of employment and collective agreements to which they may already be subject. The new employer must continue to observe the terms and conditions of employment of the transferred employees and of any collective agreement in place until it expires or is replaced by agreement.  All the members shared their experiences and also shared their opportunities. Lastly the business forum was ended up with light meal.

It was a great honor for me. I want to thank Dr. Trupti ma’am (Director of NCM) and also Prof. Rashmi ma’am who gave this opportunity to me.
