Report: First Session of Certificate Course in Introduction to Indian Knowledge Systems
Under Centre for Heritage of Intelligence Traditions of India (CHITI) Narmada College Campus, Bharuch 28th December, Tuesday, 2021 Centre for Heritage of Intelligence Traditions of India (CHITI) launched its first Certificate Course titled Introduction to Indian Knowledge Systems, on 28th December, Tuesday, 2021. The first session of the course was conducted at, Conference Hall, Narmada College Campus today. Dr. Trupti Almoula, Director, Narmada College of Management, welcomed the guests for the occasion, Dr. Bhaskar Rawal, exPrincipal, Narmada College of Science and Commerce, and Shri Ruchir Shah, Entrepreneur from Bharuch. Dr. Subhash Yadav, shared the developments in the activities of the centre since its establishment in July and its important working areas. He also informed about the certificate course, its broad contents and scope and the relevance of the course for students. The course has 42 registrations from prospective learners.
Delivering the key note address for the occasion, Dr. Bhaskar Rawal, ex - Principal, Narmada College of Science and Commerce, encouraged the students to begin with discovering and understanding first their own self and then extend this understanding to their family, society and nation. He related the varied interests of the students about nature, sattvik lifestyle with a clear understanding about their aims and objectives in life.
Shri Ruchir Shah, addressing the audience, stressed the need to integrate concepts from Yoga and Ayurveda with their life for maximum benefit. He shared his own personal example of utilizing this knowledge for self healing good health. He also discussed the benefits of this course which were primarily aimed at increased self confidence and self effectiveness of the participants. He also discussed the immense contribution made by India in Mathematics, and natural philosophy. He also shared the name of some reference books for the students.
