ORIENTATION PROGRAM – MBA -SEMESTER III

Orientation program for the second year students was conducted on 28th August, Monday, Classroom No. 3 . The students were given an overview of their second year journey in MBA and were told to be prepared with the requisite knowledge, aƫtude, skills and habit for geƫng good placements after completing their MBA program from the College. After the general discussion the students were given a detailed presentation on their specialization in the second year of their studies. 

Prof. Rakesh Panchal gave an overview of the second year Marketing specialization subjects, career opportunities available for Marketing specialization students, attributes needed for a good marketing professional and the nature and types of jobs available for Marketing students.

Prof. Iram Khan gave an overview of the Finance specialization subjects in detail, attributes of a Finance professional and career opportunities available after Finance specialization. She also shared the details of notable Finance alumnus from the College who are working at senior level in the industry.  

Prof. Rashmi Ghamawala and Prof. Rakhi Thakkar oriented the students for Human Resource Management specialization with details of the subjects that are offered in the second year, career options available for HR students and the attributes required of a HR professional. After the presentations the students asked questions about the fast changing nature of jobs and what impact it will have on their career journey, opportunities available in government sector for HR and Marketing specialization students which were answered by the faculty members. 

Finally Dr. Subhash Yadav, asked the students that they should not be learning in silos and be open towards other areas/specialization of business, and keep learning and remain updated in all aspects of business and not just in their area of specialization. Real business problems are not Finance, Marketing or HR problems but business problems which as competent managers, they should be able to solve the same. 

The session ended with Prof. Rakesh Panchal sharing the google form for choosing the specialization in the common group and asking the students to fill the same.

Students Participation in "All India Essay Writing Event 2016"

Our students Ms. Fatema Ibrahim Surti and Ms. Sashista A. Chauhan participated in  "All India Essay Writing Event 2016" organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission, United Nation Information Center for India and Bhutan, and The Heartfulness Institute.

Student participation in Solvay India Open House

Venue : Solvay Specialities India Pvt Ltd, Panoli Date     :     13 Dec 2017     As per the invitation from Solvay Specialities Pvt Ltd, 8 students and 2 faculties from Narmada college of Management participated in the “Open House” event organised by Solvay, on 13 th of December. Dr Chetna Makwana (associate professor) and Prof Rashmi Ghamawala (assistant professor) along with 8 students (from different specialisation) visited the company. The event started sharp at 10 am, where students and faculties of different colleges of Bharuch district were present, namely, SVMIT, KJ Polytechnic etc, along with the employees and staff of Solvay. All the participants were welcomed by Pratish Koparkar, who warmly welcome with his delightful words and starting off the briefing about various safety measures that need to be taken care of.
